Susan Baird CompassPoint Writing Award

In honor of our previous editor, the Susan Baird CompassPoint (CP) Writing Award is given each year to an individual who has demonstrated excellence in writing and publication about camp health.  The award winner is selected by the editorial board using the criteria of content, creativity, writing style, and application to camp health services.

Potential award winners do not have to be ACH members but will have published in CP within the last year.  The award is given at the National ACH Symposium to celebrate the accomplishments of a dedicated individual.

Description

The mission of the Alliance for Camp Health (ACH) is “Working for healthier camp communities.” With that mission in mind, this award is given annually to recognize individual(s) that have advanced camp health, and/or camp safety through writing and publication . The Susan Baird CompassPoint (CP) Writing Award is given away each year to an individual who has demonstrated excellence in writing and publication.

Criteria

The award winner is selected by the editorial board using the criteria of content, creativity, writing style, and application to camp health services.

Potential award winners do not have to be ACN members but will have published in CP within the last year.  The award is given to celebrate the accomplishments of a dedicated individual.

Nominations

Nomination and selection for the Susan Baird CompassPoint Writing award will be done through the ACH editorial team.  The winner will be notified by ACH leadership.

The award winner will receive one year of free membership in ACH, a portfolio, and national recognition at the ACH Symposium, through ACH’s website and social media outlets.
