The Alliance for Camp Health Announces the addition of a Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer, John Hamilton

The Alliance for Camp Health (ACH), previously Association of Camp Nursing, has grown and expanded over the past several years to proudly serve 1,000 plus members, develop field altering educational tools and resources, and collaborate with industry leading associations.  An important aspect of the foundational work of ACH is to cultivate key partnerships, identify opportunities to enhance services to youth serving organizations, and maintain healthy camp communities across the country.

Hamilton will guide internal initiatives and special projects as part of the ACH’s team. He will also manage stakeholder engagement and the expansion of collaborative partnerships alongside ACH, CEO, Tracey Gaslin.

“The pandemic has harmed our nation’s collective wellbeing and emphasized the urgent need for the life-altering experiences our members and their programs provide. More people need intentional care than ever before, and the work of ACH and our dedicated members is more important as a result,” Hamilton said. “I’m honored to step into this new role and believe we will remain focused on the needs of our members while working to equip the entire field to enhance the care for young people.”

More than 20 million children attend summer camp in the United States for the chance to connect with peers, gain identity, and create social and emotional learning experiences amid communities of care.  To provide these experiences, camp leaders and healthcare staff need to be prepared.
