Summer 2020
What a summer it was! Some camps opened, some camps did not. Some camps opened and then closed, some camps ran virtual programs.
The ACN office is dedicated to pulling together information about experiences from camp nurses across the country, to help articulate how decisions were made (to open / not open) and the experience of camp in a COVID-19 environment.
ACN is collaborating with ACA and the CDC to gather data about the impact of COVID-19 on camp and youth programs this summer. We are in the process of ironing out questions, surveys and interviews, the work will be coming out in September. Watch your inbox for details on how to participate!
ACN is also conducting interviews with camp nurses about their summer 2020 experience if they were open for programming. The emerging information from interviews is extremely interesting, and the compiled data will be beneficial for planning for summer 2021.
