At a time when young people and adults are all longing to be seen, feel heard, and sense authentic connection, ACH is exploring the best ways to elevate care for healthier communities and this is where your desire to obtain the MESH (+) Seal helps us to reach that goal. The idea is to ensure that camps and programs are not just offering activities or focusing on the physical health of campers and staff, but are also consciously incorporating practices and strategies that enhance mental health, emotional resilience, social development, and overall well-being in a meaningful way.

The MESH (+) Seal program focuses on recognizing camps and programs that are deliberately prioritizing and integrating Mental, Emotional, and Social Health (+) aspects in their work. By earning the MESH (+) Seal, these camps and programs are acknowledged for being intentional about supporting the well-being of their camp community across these key areas.

Piloted in 2024 with select Camp Fire Camps, we now have over 20+ camps and programs pursuing the MESH (+) Seal in 2025. We are also proud to announce that ACA New England is offering a 20% discount to all ACA New England camps.

CampWell is a six-hour skills-based, in-person, multi-tiered, training course that guides participants to identify, understand, cultivate, and create a community of well-being. Created in collaboration with the American Camp Association and supported by the H.E. Butt Foundation the CampWell training program aims to help all be well at camp and seeks to create consistent care across the spectrum of all summer learning spaces. As an immersive learning program CampWell is uniquely designed to help leaders shape programs that incorporate the tools, self-awareness, and understanding needed to enhance the experience and safety for all.
