    Hi all,
I’m wondering if anyone would like to connect about trip first aid kits supplies and practices for documentation of PRN medications given, as well as camper daily medications? We run a busy tripping program and have done things the same way for years, but looking to standardize and improve our process, and make sure we’re documenting the right things! I had connected with a couple people at the conference and would love to continue and expand the conversation if people are interested. This could happen over a zoom call, email thread, or right here in the discussion board. Are there any resources available on the ACH website I should be made aware of?
    Thanks!

    Hi Gretchen,
I regularly send out medications and FA kits on trips and would be happy to connect with you. I was unfortunately unable to attend the conference this year so I didn’t get to connect with anyone on anything. We can talk about how we do documentation. I’d love to connect and see how you do this also.

That’s great, Shelley! Let’s see if anyone else is interested and then we can look to connect over email to schedule a time to call/zoom?

I appreciate this conversation and think it is helpful to many. We don’t have specific recommendations for FAKs on trip and travel as each program is quite diverse. I think it would be great to develop some form of consensus about what people are doing.

ACH can send an invite to folks who do trip and travel experiences and see if they might be interested in connecting about this topic. I will put both of you on the list and give me just a little time to gather interested folks. We can provide the zoom platform for the gathering.

This would be great conversation, as ACH has considered providing some guidance for documentation for trip/travel programs. It’s not uncommmon for us to get the question about documentation especially regarding medications. A conversation would be productive!

Tracey and Mary, this sounds wonderful! Happy to help plan/coordinate in any way possible, and share some resources that my camp has used in preparing FAKs in the past. I look forward to the discussion!
