Hello! I hope everyone is having a great summer! I am a nurse at a residential camp with 150 campers and roughly 50+ staff. We do meds AM/Lunch/Dinner/Bed and have a “sick call” after breakfast. Our first 4 weeks we had a record number of visits to the Health Center throughout the day. It was literally a continuous flow. I am wondering what other similar camps do for visits throughout the day? DO people have specific Health Center hours? I have seen some camps set up tables outside the Health Center with bandages, etc..80% of the visits are non-urgent and I am trying to keep the campers in their activities and keep the nurses from exhaustion! Thanks!

we are a camp of 700 campers and 300 staff. We give medications in the dining hall breakfast and dinner. We have health call in the morning for about 2 1/2 hours and then again in the evening. These health calls are with an MD in attendance. Throughout the whole day we see an average of 100 kids. we never close the health center.
