Last year we converted our covid policy to a more broad communicable disease plan. Within that, we broadened the policy to include flu, strep, and other communicable diseases and how we would treat them. The policy is not very drilled down in details for any of them, but references current practice recommendations. This allowed us to pivot if CDC changed things, which they didn’t a lot. We had a ton more strep last year and actually no covid. Flu was also in the region, but we didn’t have a positive screen for that during camp.
This policy approach worked really well for us last year.
