Alliance for Camp Health Names Kelley Freridge as Chief Marketing Officer

Freridge’s Appointment Reflects ACH’s Momentum in Advancing Health and Well-being Across Camps and Youth-Serving Programs

LOUISVILLE, KY — March 10, 2025 — The Alliance for Camp Health (ACH) has named Kelley Freridge as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), a strategic appointment to the ACH Care Team that underscores a commitment to elevating the health and well-being of young people through innovative marketing, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership. In this role, Freridge will lead marketing, communications, business development, audience engagement, and revenue growth, expanding ACH’s influence as a national voice in camp health policy and youth well-being.

Freridge brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, and audience development across the nonprofit, outdoor, and youth-serving sectors. Previously, she held leadership roles at the American Camp Association (ACA), Patagonia, and Chaco where she developed high-impact partnerships and growth initiatives that strengthened the connection between outdoor experiences and community well-being.

“Kelley understands how to build momentum and bring people together around a shared mission,” said Tracey Gaslin, PhD, CEO of the Alliance for Camp Health. “Her leadership in brand strategy, partnerships, and revenue development will help ACH expand its reach, so more camps and youth programs have the educational resources they need to elevate care for healthier communities. She brings a bold vision for ACH’s next phase of growth, strengthening our ability to serve as the leading authority in camp health and well-being.”

Beyond her work in marketing and communications, Freridge is an elected community leader, serving as Vice President of the Rockford Public Schools Board of Education, where she advocates for teachers, academic rigor, outdoor learning, and the arts. Her leadership and commitment to K-12 education and community engagement align with ACH’s commitment to create a movement of care and an ecosystem of well-being across camp and out-of-school time (OST) programs.

“Camp is one of the last great offline spaces for youth—a vital learning ecosystem that fosters confidence and belonging,” said Freridge. “It provides a structured, immersive environment where young people build healthy friendships and develop the skills needed to navigate life beyond summer. Camp offers a rare community of care where youth can grow, explore, and thrive.”

ACH plays a critical role in making sure that camps and youth-serving organizations have access to evidence-based resources, expert training, and a collaborative network dedicated to youth well-being. By providing these essential resources and strengthening collaboration, ACH is driving a transformational impact—expanding the quality of safe and healthy programs. As CMO, Freridge will work with ACH’s Care Team, dedicated Membership, and Healthy Camp Partners to bolster strategy, media relations, digital engagement, and revenue development, forging new partnerships and funding opportunities to drive ACH’s growth.
