MESH (+) is a conceptual theory building upon the mental, emotional, social health framework, with practical implications for creating a safe environment for individuals and communities. It offers a palette of care to integrate the mind, nature, and spirituality with individual character development and communal engagement. The intersection of play and presence, gratitude and hope, offers a creative approach to awaken and challenge growth with self and others. The destination for mesh (+) care is a holistic understanding of our collective experiences and the opportunities for development in an intentionally cultivated setting.
ACH is proud to be elevating the standard of care for camps and out of school time programs with the roll out of the MESH (+) Seal. The seal serves as recognition of summer programs that have created an intentional MESH (+) experience where individual well-being can flourish.
The MESH (+) Seal outlines four key health-related pillars (Summer Program, Staff Training, Health Screening and Medication & Care Measures) for OST programs that are taking a proactive approach to promote well-being.
Camp Fire is the first organization to pilot ACH’s MESH (+) Seal program. Organizations that meet ACH’s requirements will be awarded the seal.
The program will move beyond the pilot stage and will be available for all camps who wish to obtain the MESH (+) Seal in 2025. The first of it’s kind, this innovative program will highlight program who are investing in a culture of well-being is necessary to enhance the experience, safety and belonging of all young people.
“ACH is honored to be partnering with CampFire on such an timely initiative. The MESH (+) Seal will serve to educate and support out-of-school time (OST) and summer outdoor programs. We believe those who are seeking to elevate their standard of care for staff and young people alike will find the holistic MESH (+) approach to be crucial to our collective wellbeing.”
